Key takeaways
- Profound has moved toward custom enterprise pricing. Its client workspaces are reportedly a $399/month add-on each, so a 10-client roster lands around $3,990/month before any base fee (a third-party estimate).
- Scrunch publishes more. Agency Core is reportedly $500/month for 3 brand workspaces, 3 pitch workspaces, 250 prompts and unlimited licenses. Past 3 clients you need a custom Enterprise quote.
- Neither vendor clearly documents white-label client reporting. Scrunch gates Looker Studio and API access to Enterprise, and Profound gates exports and API to Enterprise.
- Scrunch Core covers four engines. Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok need Enterprise. Profound Enterprise reaches nine engines.
- Pricing changed a lot in 2026. Treat every number here as something to confirm on the live agency tabs before you sign.
Why this comparison is harder than it looks
I went into this expecting two pricing pages and a table. What I found was two vendors that both reshuffled their packaging in 2026, a pile of third-party comparisons written by competitors, and an agency tab on each site that scraped poorly. So treat this guide as a map of what is known, what is secondary reporting, and what you have to ask a sales rep.
Some context matters before the details. Profound positions itself as an agentic marketing platform, with an orchestrator, Agents that run on credits, and a large prompt-volume dataset. Scrunch is the more traditional monitor-plus-audit product, with its own Agent Experience Platform for serving AI crawlers an optimized version of your pages. According to Profound's own comparison article, Sitecore acquired Scrunch in June 2026. Scrunch still sells standalone, but its roadmap now sits with Sitecore. If you have no Sitecore clients, that is worth weighing.
A caveat on sources: Profound's article is vendor-written, WorkDuo, Ayzeo, Slate and Rankability all sell competing products, and the Nick Lafferty piece is an opinion post with an unknown methodology. I lean on the vendors' own pricing pages where I can and flag the rest.

The two platforms at a glance

| Profound | Scrunch | |
|---|---|---|
| Core pitch | Agentic marketing platform, deep data | Monitoring, audits, AI-readiness |
| Prompt data | Prompt-level volume data (claims 2B+ real user prompts) | Topic-level AI Search Trends, no prompt-level volume |
| Max engines | Up to 9 on Enterprise | 4 on Core, 9 on Enterprise |
| Brand entry | Free 7-day trial, then custom Enterprise | Core at $250/month, 7-day trial |
| Agency entry | Agency Growth, reportedly $99/month plus add-ons | Agency Core, reportedly $500/month |
| Standout extra | AI Marketer, Agents, Agent Analytics | Agent Pages via AXP, bot traffic measurement |
| Seats | Unlimited on brand plans | Unlimited on Agency Core |
One note on engine counts. Both vendors say "up to 9" at the top tier, but their lists differ slightly. Profound Enterprise includes Exa and DeepSeek. Scrunch Enterprise includes Meta AI and Grok. If a client cares about a specific assistant, check that exact engine rather than trusting the number.
Pricing for agencies
Profound
Profound's brand view now shows a free Trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days, ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, one region, no exports, no API) and a custom Enterprise plan. The earlier $99 and $399 self-serve brand tiers that WorkDuo cites no longer appear, so those numbers look stale.
The agency side is murkier. Secondary sources describe it this way:
- Agency Growth: $99/month, with 10 pitch workspaces per month for prospect audits, agency mode, and consolidated billing
- Full client workspaces: a $399/month add-on each
- Agency Enterprise: custom, with a dedicated agency partner and go-to-market support
Profound's own pricing page mentions 400 credits per month per client workspace on the self-serve Agency Growth plan. Because Agents run on credits and overage can be billed or paused, your real monthly cost depends on how hard you push the agents. That is a budgeting wrinkle worth raising early with any agency that bills on a flat retainer.
Scrunch
Scrunch's brand Core plan is $250/month: 125 unique prompts, 5,000 responses, 5 site audits, one brand workspace, five licenses, four LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Copilot), one country, one language, and five competitors. It has no Looker Studio, API, MCP or CLI access.
The reported agency plan is Agency Core at $500/month: 250 unique prompts, 3 brand workspaces, 3 pitch workspaces, 5 audits per brand per month, unlimited licenses, and the same four engines. Agency Enterprise is custom and reaches nine engines, adds AXP and Agent Pages, Looker Studio, the Query API, SAML/OIDC SSO, and a dedicated account team.
What 10 clients cost
| Scenario | Profound | Scrunch |
|---|---|---|
| 3 clients | About $99 + 3 x $399 = ~$1,296/month (estimate) | $500/month Agency Core |
| 10 clients | $3,990+/month before base fee (Ayzeo estimate) | Custom Agency Enterprise quote |
| Pitch workspaces | 10 per month | 3 |
| Pricing transparency | Add-on published, base partly unpublished | Core published, Enterprise custom |
The 3-client Profound figure is my own arithmetic from the reported numbers, so verify it. The picture is still fairly clear: for small rosters Scrunch is cheaper and more predictable, and for large rosters both vendors push you into a sales conversation. Per-client pricing on Profound scales fast. Per-roster pricing on Scrunch is cheap until you hit the 3-brand ceiling and then falls off a cliff into custom territory.
Multi-client reporting
This is where I would spend most of my diligence time, because it is where the research is thinnest.
- White-label reports: I found no official confirmation for either vendor. Ayzeo's comparison lists both as "not published". That does not mean the feature is missing, only that it is not documented.
- Scrunch: Looker Studio, the Query API and advanced API are Enterprise-only. That is the likely route to branded client dashboards, and it means Agency Core users are working with the native dashboard and exports.
- Profound: Enterprise lists daily tracking, all-time history, CSV and JSON export and API access. Profound Sheets is another place to look. Brand trial users get no exports or API at all.
- Seats: both appear generous. Profound lists unlimited seats on brand plans and Scrunch gives unlimited licenses on Agency Core, though Profound's agency seat count is not published.
A practical test: ask each vendor to show you a client-facing deliverable from a live agency account, not a demo workspace. If they cannot produce one without your logo being replaced by theirs, you will be rebuilding reports in a separate tool anyway. Many agencies do that regardless, pulling AI visibility numbers next to Search Console and conversion data in a tool like AgencyAnalytics.

Rankability makes a similar point: AI visibility is one layer of search performance, so client reports should keep Search Console, analytics, and conversions alongside it. I agree. A report that shows only mention counts invites the wrong kind of client question.
One more reporting detail. The number of citation slots differs by engine. Promptwatch Data's average sources per response report shows ChatGPT citing about 5 sources per web-search answer, Google AI Overviews about 10, and Perplexity almost exactly 10, while Copilot swung from under 2 to nearly 17 within a few weeks. So blending engines into one visibility number hides real differences. Whichever platform you choose, report engines separately for clients.
Workflow and what happens after the report
Profound
Profound leans toward execution. It has repositioned around an AI Marketer with Agents, a Context Manager, Projects and Profound Sheets. It also has Agent Analytics for AI-sourced traffic and attribution, with integrations for Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, GA, GCP, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress. For an agency that wants to tie visibility to traffic, that is a real asset. The cost is complexity. WorkDuo describes a steeper learning curve, and that matches what I would expect from a platform this broad.
Scrunch
Scrunch is easier to start with. You get monitoring, site audits, AI bot traffic, sentiment, and a reporting dashboard, and Agent Pages through AXP on Enterprise. Slate's comparison says Scrunch has clearer public evidence for prompt monitoring, page audits and packaged self-serve limits, while Profound has stronger documented evidence for prompt-volume research, content agents and crawler analytics. Core includes just 1 page optimization a month and basic content generation, so do not expect it to run your content program.

Treat the claims about visibility scores carefully. One blog gives Profound a 47.1% visibility score against Scrunch's 4.7% and flags Scrunch's AXP claims as unproven, but the methodology is not shared. I would not use it to make a purchase decision.
Who should pick which
| Your agency | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 clients, limited budget | Scrunch Agency Core | Published $500/month price, unlimited licenses |
| 4 to 10 clients, tight margins | Neither is ideal | Both need custom quotes or heavy per-client add-ons |
| Enterprise clients wanting prompt volumes and agents | Profound | Deeper data and execution tools |
| Sitecore-heavy client base | Scrunch | Sitecore is integrating it into SitecoreAI |
| Heavy pitching | Profound | 10 pitch workspaces versus 3 |
| Need Claude, Gemini, Meta AI | Either at Enterprise | Scrunch Core lacks them |
Alternatives worth a look
If neither pricing model fits, the field is wide. Our directory lists plenty of options built with agencies in mind, and the GEO software directory at bestgeosoftware.com is a good place to browse the full set.
Promptwatch is the one I would put in front of agencies that want to do more than monitor. It tracks the real UIs of ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and others, adds IP-verified AI crawler logs and visitor analytics, and its agents can plan, write and publish content to Webflow, Framer or WordPress. Agency plans run $199 to $799 a month (Kick-off, Growth, Scale) with unlimited projects, pitch projects and prompts, 10 seats, white-label PDF reports and branded read-only client access. Confirm current figures at promptwatch.com/pricing.

Others to shortlist depending on budget: Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Slate, and Ayzeo-style per-client models.

A checklist before you sign
- Get the live agency tab pricing in writing, including base fee, add-ons and credit overage.
- Ask for a white-label or client-branded report sample from a real account.
- Confirm which engines are included at your tier, and which exact country and language limits apply.
- Ask what the 5th through 10th client costs, not just the first three.
- Check API, Looker Studio and export access at the tier you are actually buying.
- Ask Scrunch how the Sitecore acquisition changes support and roadmap for non-Sitecore agencies.
- Run a two-week pilot with one real client before moving the whole roster.
Bottom line
If you manage a handful of clients and want a number you can put in a spreadsheet today, Scrunch Agency Core is the easier decision. If your clients are enterprises that want prompt-level volumes, crawler analytics and agent-driven execution, Profound is the deeper product, at a price that gets steep per client. Neither makes white-label reporting obvious, so make that your first question on both sales calls.
