Key takeaways
- Cost per client is monthly price divided by active client projects, but credit-based tools (Peec AI, Slate) add prompts, models and frequency as multipliers.
- Published agency entry points in late October 2026 range from about $149/month (Rank Prompt) to $2,000/month (Slate Agency). Peec AI sits at $245 to $795 on its agency page.
- Promptwatch's live pricing page shows Essential at $95, Professional at $245 and Business at $579 per month, all with every AI model included. Its blog cites Agency plans from $199/month, which I could not confirm on the live page, so check before you quote it.
- Third-party pricing articles go stale quickly. Several still quote Promptwatch at $99 and $249 when the live page shows $95 and $245.
- Tracking-only tools and execution platforms are not the same product. Compare what you get after the dashboard, not just the sticker price.
Why agency pricing is harder to compare than brand pricing
A brand buys one subscription for one site. An agency buys capacity for a pool of clients, and every vendor slices that capacity differently. Some count projects. Some count prompts. Some count credits that get spent by models, frequency and prompts at once. Slate counts AI answers and agent credits separately.
So a headline like "$495/month" tells you almost nothing until you know how many clients it covers and how many prompts each client needs. I'd rather start from the workload and work backwards.
The cost-per-client formula
The basic math:
cost per client = (monthly plan price + add-ons) / active client projects
Then adjust for three things:
- Prompts per client. A local services client might need 25 prompts. A SaaS client in a crowded category might need 150.
- Models tracked. If a tool charges extra for Claude, Gemini or others, that is a per-client cost multiplier.
- Billing term. Monthly versus annual changes the number by 17% to 20% on several tools.
A useful benchmark: Rankability's October 2026 study found that tracking 100 recurring daily prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews costs between $97 and $189 per month on several published plans. That is a per-client floor for tracking-only tools, before you add white-label reporting or content work.
The platforms at a glance
| Platform | Agency entry price (monthly) | Pricing unit | Client capacity | Includes content execution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Promptwatch | $95 (Essential) to $579 (Business) on Brands tabs; Agency plans from $199 per its blog | Projects and responses | Agency: unlimited projects and prompts (per vendor blog) | Yes, on Professional and above |
| Peec AI | $245 / $495 / $795 | Credits | 3-10 clients on Growth, 11-25+ on Scale | Tracking, reporting, fact-check, no content engine |
| Slate | $499 / $999 / $2,000 | Credits plus AI answers plus pages | Agency plan covers multiple client brands | Yes, agents and workflows |
| Searchable | From $250 for agencies | Tiered | Pitch prompts included | Action-oriented analytics |
| Rankability | $97 / $297 / $497 | Tracked queries | 100 / 300 / 500 queries | Content optimization |
| Rank Prompt | $149 / $299 | Brands | 50 / 500 brands | Prospecting and white-label |
| Ayzeo (vendor claim) | $149 plus $49 per extra project | Projects | 3 projects included | Reporting and remediation |
Treat the small vendors' numbers as snippets from their own sites or search results. I did not scrape every one of them, and a few are vendor claims rather than independent checks.
Promptwatch: per-project pricing, all models included
Promptwatch is the platform 1001 SEO Media uses for its own GEO work, so weigh my opinion accordingly. Here is what the live pricing page shows for the Brands plans:
- Essential: $95/month, 1 project, 50 prompts, 6,000 responses, country tracking, MCP and API access.
- Professional: $245/month, 2 projects, 150 prompts, 18,000 responses, plus content writing and refresh, a knowledge base and Agent Analytics (crawler logs).
- Business: $579/month, 5 projects, 350 prompts, 42,000 responses, state and city tracking, Shopping Insights, Ads Radar and audit logs.

Divide those by project count and you get roughly $95, $122 and $116 per project. That is a fair way to price a handful of clients who each need their own workspace. The Agency plans are the better fit once you pass five or six clients: Promptwatch's own comparison states Agency plans start at $199/month with unlimited client projects and prompts. The agencies page lists white-label dashboards, pitch-stage client status, API and MCP, a Data Studio connector, AI crawler logs, AI-referral traffic reporting and publishing to WordPress, Webflow and Framer.
Two caveats. First, the Agencies toggle did not render in my research scrape, so I could not verify the $199 figure on the live page. Confirm at promptwatch.com/pricing. Second, Agency plans don't include the Content Agent, the Knowledge Base or 360 Insights, which sit on Brands plans. If you want those for a flagship client, that client may belong on a Business plan.
The pricing advantage worth noting: every tier tracks all models, including ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Meta AI. You are not paying model add-ons per client.

Peec AI: credits and a configurator
Peec AI runs a dedicated agency page with three published tiers and a custom one:
| Plan | Price | Credits | Aimed at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $245/mo | 10,000 | Agencies winning first clients |
| Growth | $495/mo | 25,000 | Boutique agencies, 3-10 clients |
| Scale | $795/mo | 65,000 | Established agencies, 11-25+ clients |
| Comprehensive | Custom | Unlimited, annual billing | Large portfolios |
Credits are consumed by models, tracking frequency and prompts. The page's sample configurations land around 111, 277 and 722 daily prompts for the three tiers. That matters for cost per client. Peec Growth at $495 across 3 to 10 clients works out to roughly $50 to $165 per client, but only if 277 prompts spread across those clients is enough. At 10 clients that is under 28 prompts each.
Agency features are solid: consolidated billing, free pitch projects that convert to paid client projects, shareable client dashboards, Data Studio templates, MCP-driven reporting, an Ads library, AI Shopping with SKU-level tracking and a crawlability audit across 40+ bots.
The model-count discrepancy
Sources disagree. Promptwatch's comparison page says Peec includes six engines by default and charges $35 to $165 per month per additional model. The SE Visible review says each self-serve tier tracks 3 models by default, with a fourth as a paid add-on. I couldn't reconcile that from the research, so ask Peec for a written configuration quote that lists the models before you commit.
Self-serve pricing is also quoted differently by source: $80, $205 and $420 on annual billing versus $95, $245 and $495 monthly. The monthly gap is roughly $15 to $75.

Slate: a flat pool and an execution platform
Slate prices differently from everyone else here, and the difference matters.
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits | AI answers | Pages monitored |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $499 | 15,000 | 10,000 | 1,000 |
| Scale | $999 | 50,000 | 20,000 | 5,000 |
| Agency | $2,000 | 100,000 | 50,000 | 10,000 |
Annual billing saves 20%. Growth is one brand, one user, one workspace. The Agency plan is for running growth across multiple client brands with custom workspaces and 1:1 onboarding.
Here is how the allowances work. Credits pay for agent work (Slate Coworker, workflows, outreach). AI answers and pages draw from separate pools, so plain tracking doesn't burn credits. One AI answer is one response from one platform for one prompt in one location. So 333 prompts tracked daily on one platform use about 10,000 answers a month, while the same prompts run weekly use about 1,450.
That gives you a flat cost-per-client curve: $2,000 spread over 8 clients is $250 each, over 20 clients is $100 each, but only until the shared allowance runs out. Workflows pause at zero credits, and all workspaces share one allowance unless an admin sets per-workspace limits. Claude and Gemini tracking is a paid add-on in packs of 1,000 answers (Enterprise includes all six platforms).
Slate makes sense if you want one platform to do the optimization work too. If you just need dashboards, it is more than you need.
Lower-cost agency options
If your clients are small and your margins are tight, the cheaper tools matter.
- Rankability: Starter $97 for 100 tracked queries, Agency $297 for 300, Agency Pro $497 for 500. [tool:rankability]
- Searchable: Pro $125, Scale $400, Enterprise $999, with agency plans from $250 and pitch prompts, white-label reports and Looker Studio on every tier. [tool:searchable]
- Rank Prompt: Agency $149 with 50 brands and white-label reports; Agency Plus $299 with 500 brands and client logins.
- Ayzeo: Pro $149 with 3 projects, $49 per extra project. Its own margin example puts 10 clients at about $492/month. That is a vendor claim.
- Otterly: Lite $29, Standard $189, Premium $489. [tool:otterly-ai]
- Ahrefs Brand Radar: EUR 179 for select platforms, EUR 699 for all platforms. [tool:ahrefs-brand-radar]
- Profound: Rankability lists Brands as a custom quote and Agency as a base fee plus $399 per client workspace per month, with the base fee unverified. That puts Profound at the expensive end per client. [tool:profound]
A worked example: eight clients
Say you serve 8 clients at 40 prompts each, so 320 prompts in total, daily tracking, and you want white-label reporting.
| Option | Rough monthly cost | Per client | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peec Growth | $495 | about $62 | Sample config is 277 daily prompts, so you would need to trim prompts or use Scale ($795, about $99 per client) |
| Slate Agency | $2,000 | $250 | Includes agent execution, 50,000 answers |
| Promptwatch Agency | From $199 (vendor-stated) | about $25 | Verify prompt and response limits before you rely on this |
| Rankability Agency | $297 | about $37 | 300 queries, a bit short of 320 |
| Profound Agency | Base fee plus $399 x 8 | $399+ | Client workspaces alone are $3,192 |
These are estimates, not quotes. The point is the shape: tracking-only tools cluster between $25 and $100 per client, while platforms that also do the work run $250 or more.
Pricing traps to check before you sign
- Billing term. Annual discounts run from 17% (Promptwatch's 12-for-10 deal) to 20% (Slate). Compare monthly to monthly.
- Model add-ons. Any tool that charges extra for Claude, Gemini or Grok will cost you more across 10 clients than the headline suggests.
- Credits versus prompts. A credit is not a prompt. Ask for a written configuration showing exactly how many daily prompts your plan covers.
- Stale reviews. Promptwatch appears at $99, $249 and $579 in third-party reviews, while the live page shows $95, $245 and $579. Always check the vendor's pricing page.
- Pitch projects. Free prospect workspaces (Peec, Searchable, Promptwatch's pitch-stage status) are worth real money if you pitch often.
- What happens after the dashboard. Monitoring alone leaves you doing content, crawler fixes and reporting by hand. That labor is your real cost.
How to price your own service on top
The Ayzeo vendor claim says agencies charge $500 to $1,500 per client per month for monitoring, reporting and GEO remediation. I would treat that as a vendor's marketing number, but it shows where the margin sits. Platform cost of $25 to $250 per client is small compared with the service fee. The real decision is which tool saves your team the most hours, not which has the lowest sticker price.

Which one to pick
- 5 clients or fewer, each needing full depth: Promptwatch Professional or Business, billed per project, with all models included.
- 8 to 25 clients, mostly reporting: Promptwatch Agency or Peec Growth/Scale, depending on prompt volume and which models you need.
- You want agents to execute, and have budget: Slate Agency at $2,000.
- Tight budgets, small clients: Rankability, Rank Prompt or Searchable.
- Enterprise client rosters: Ask Profound and Promptwatch Enterprise for quotes, and run a pilot.
Request a written quote from every finalist with your actual client count, prompts and models. Then divide by clients. That number is the one that counts.
