Best AIVO Alternatives in 2026: 8 AI Visibility Tools Compared

Looking for an AIVO alternative? We compare Promptwatch, Semrush, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Profound, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Scrunch AI and AirOps on coverage, pricing, optimization features and who each one suits best in 2026.

Key takeaways

  • AIVO's site showed "Deployment Paused" when we checked, and its TrustRadius listing carries a 2/10 score from 4 reviews. That is a small sample, but it explains why people shop around.
  • Promptwatch is the pick if you want to fix visibility gaps, not only measure them: crawler logs, AI traffic attribution, and a Content Agent that publishes.
  • Otterly.AI and Peec AI are the cleaner, cheaper monitoring options if a dashboard is all you need.
  • Semrush and Ahrefs Brand Radar suit teams that already live inside those SEO suites.
  • Profound and Scrunch AI target larger teams with bigger budgets. AirOps fits teams whose bottleneck is content production.

Why people look for AIVO alternatives

AIVO describes itself as an AI visibility intelligence platform that ties visibility scoring to prioritized actions. The pitch is reasonable. The practical problems are what send people elsewhere.

First, availability. When we scraped tryaivo.com it returned a paused deployment page, so we could not verify current features or pricing from the vendor. A TrustRadius snippet shows "starting at $179 per month", but treat that as unconfirmed. An Otterly roundup lists AIVO as "source-authority analysis" with free GEO snapshots, which sounds more like an entry-level diagnostic than a full platform.

Second, the review base is thin. TrustRadius shows 2/10 from four reviews. I would not call that a verdict, but it is hard to build a buying case on it. We also found no migration stories either way.

Third, the category has matured. Almost every vendor now runs prompts on a schedule, stores responses and scores mentions. As Growth Method's teardown put it, fetching AI answers is a commodity, and deciding what to do about them is not. So the questions worth asking are which tool is stable, which one tells you what to change, and which one shows whether the change worked.

Prices below come from vendor pages and third-party roundups that sometimes disagree. Confirm on each vendor's site before buying.

The alternatives

Promptwatch

Promptwatch

AI search visibility and optimization platform

Promptwatch is the one I would look at first if what attracted you to AIVO was the "prioritized actions" angle. It takes that idea much further. It tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Meta AI, Claude and more, using the real user interfaces instead of only APIs. That matters because consumer answers and citations differ from API output.

The difference from most trackers is what happens after the dashboard. The Action Board lists prioritized GEO tasks. Content gap analysis maps your pages against the prompts AI answers. On the Business plan, the Content Agent plans, writes and publishes to WordPress, Webflow or Framer, then tracks whether the page gets crawled, cited and clicked. IP-verified AI crawler logs show which bots read your pages and where they hit errors, and visitor analytics ties AI referrals to conversions. Most competitors in this list have none of that.

Other pieces: prompt volumes and difficulty scores, query fan-outs, Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn citation tracking, ChatGPT Shopping and Ads Radar, local targeting at exact coordinates, Search Console and Bing data, and an MCP server. It is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, rated 4.7/5 on G2, and used by 1,840+ brands including Yelp and Typeform. For context on why citation sources matter, Promptwatch's data shows product pages were the most cited content type in ChatGPT (22.4% of citations, Sep 28 to Oct 4, 2026).

Pricing: a free Explore tier (ChatGPT only, 10 prompts), Essential at $95/mo (50 prompts), Professional at $245/mo (150 prompts) and Business at $579/mo (350 prompts, the Content Agent). There is a 7-day trial on monthly plans. Confirm at promptwatch.com/pricing.

Trade-offs: there is a lot of surface area, so a team that only wants a weekly mention count will use maybe a fifth of it. Agency plans don't include the Content Agent.

Best for: teams that want one platform to find gaps, fix them and prove the traffic.

Semrush

Semrush

All-in-one digital marketing platform

Semrush sells AI visibility as an add-on to its SEO suite. The AI Toolkit runs about $99/mo per domain and sits on top of plans starting at $165.17/mo (Starter), with Pro+ at $249 and Business+ at $499. Semrush cites a 289M prompt and response dataset refreshed weekly.

The upside is consolidation. Keyword research, site audits, backlinks, rank tracking and AI visibility sit under one login, and the data joins up. The downside is depth. AI-specific features are shallower than in dedicated tools, and there are no AI crawler logs or AI traffic attribution of the kind Promptwatch offers. Prompt sets are also more fixed than flexible.

Growth Method says Semrush acquired Otterly.ai. Our other sources still show Otterly operating as its own brand, so check that before assuming anything about its roadmap.

Best for: teams already paying for Semrush who want AI tracking without another vendor.

Otterly.AI

Otterly is the pragmatic monitoring choice. Entry pricing starts at $29/mo (Lite, 15 prompts), Standard is $189/mo for 100 prompts across 4 platforms, and Premium is custom. A 14-day trial needs no credit card. Standard includes Looker Studio integration and unlimited workspaces. The agency program adds pitch workspaces and white-label reporting.

It covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, with brand coverage, position and citation views. It is a Gartner Cool Vendor 2025 and a G2 High Performer 2026 for answer engine optimization.

What it lacks: content creation, prompt volume data, a shopping module and crawler logs. It tells you where you stand, not what to ship. For an AIVO user wanting prioritized actions, that is a step sideways.

Best for: small teams and agencies that need a cheap, simple tracker.

Peec AI

AI search monitoring without the optimization

Peec AI is a Berlin-based tracker built around three metrics: visibility, position and sentiment. The dashboards are clean and the prompt-level views are easy for a marketing team to read. Starter is roughly 85-95 per month depending on source (the entry plan has 50 prompts, 3 models and 1 project), Pro is about $245 or 199 euros, and Advanced is $495. Unlimited seats and free pitch workspaces make it popular with agencies.

It has raised $29M and reports 1,500 to 2,000+ teams depending on the source. The weak spots are the usual monitoring-only ones: no content generation, no AI traffic attribution, no crawler logs. Peec also doesn't disclose how it collects AI responses, which matters if you care about whether the data reflects real consumer answers.

Best for: agencies and European teams wanting tidy multi-client reporting.

Profound

Profound

Enterprise AI visibility solution
View more
Screenshot of Profound website

Profound is the best-funded name in the category and the one enterprise buyers know. It offers prompt volume data drawn from consumer panels, a shopping module for ChatGPT Shopping and Amazon Rufus, and some content tooling. Public pricing is murky. Sources cite starts from $99/mo, and Growth at $399/mo for 100 prompts across 3 engines, with the full 10-engine coverage and agency support gated to Enterprise. Content is capped at 6 articles a month.

Note that the profound.so address supplied for this page is a domain for sale. The real product lives at tryprofound.com. That is worth knowing before you click anything.

The price-to-coverage ratio is the usual complaint. It is strong, but you pay for it, and it lacks Reddit tracking and agentic publishing.

Best for: large brands with budget and a dedicated GEO owner.

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Brand monitoring in AI search

Screenshot of Ahrefs Brand Radar website

Brand Radar's selling point is its data foundation. Ahrefs says its prompt index (243M+ in one post, 271M in another) comes from real search behavior such as People Also Ask queries. It covers six AI engines plus YouTube, TikTok and Reddit, and reports mentions, citations, impressions and AI share of voice. Search demand history back to 2015 lets you compare branded demand with AI visibility.

Pricing is inconsistent across sources: $129/mo in one roundup, and tiers from $50 to $699 per month in another. Ahrefs plans themselves start at $83/mo billed annually, or $99 monthly. Check the current price.

It behaves more like a research tool than a workflow tool. It has no crawler logs and no content agent, so you take the insight elsewhere to act on it.

Best for: Ahrefs users who want trustworthy competitive and citation research.

Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI

Track and optimize your brand's visibility across AI search
View more

Scrunch raised a $15M Series A in 2026 and leans toward optimization instead of pure monitoring. It tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then adds persona-based prompt testing, page-level audits and citation-quality scoring. Pricing starts around $250 per month (1 brand, 100 prompts), with Professional at about $500 (3 brands, 300 prompts, white-label reporting) and custom Enterprise.

It is a credible option for teams that want audits alongside tracking. Compared with Promptwatch, it costs more per prompt, has no Reddit tracking or shopping coverage, and does not execute the content work itself.

Best for: mid-market teams that value persona testing.

AirOps

Favicon of AirOps

AirOps

AI workflow automation for GEO
View more
Screenshot of AirOps website

AirOps is a different animal. It is a workflow and content automation platform with GEO capabilities, so it suits teams whose real bottleneck is producing and refreshing content at scale. Plans run from $200/mo (Solo) to $2,000/mo (Pro), with extra tasks billed at $6 to $9 per 1,000 depending on plan.

Its visibility measurement is lighter than that of dedicated platforms, and it lacks crawler analytics. It generates content, but the grounding data comes from somewhere else. Pair it with a tracker, or pick a tool that does both.

Best for: content teams with mature workflows who want automation.

A note on AthenaHQ

The AthenaHQ entry in our catalog points to athenago.com, which is an executive assistant service, not the AI visibility product. The GEO platform is a separate company at athenahq.ai, with a Starter plan around $295/mo and GA4 attribution. We left it out of the main list because the catalog data was wrong, but it is worth evaluating directly.

How to choose

  • Want to act on gaps and measure results: Promptwatch.
  • Want the cheapest monitoring: Otterly.AI, or Peec AI for agencies.
  • Already on an SEO suite: Semrush or Ahrefs Brand Radar.
  • Enterprise with budget: Profound.
  • Content production is the problem: AirOps, ideally alongside a tracker.

Before committing, run the same 20 or so buying prompts through two trials and see which one explains a missing mention best. For more options, the directory at bestgeosoftware.com lists GEO platforms side by side. And if you would rather hand the work to people, 1001 SEO Media runs GEO programs on Promptwatch.
