Best AEO Vision Alternatives in 2026: 7 AI Visibility Tools Compared

Looking beyond AEO Vision? We compare Promptwatch, Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Scrunch, Ahrefs Brand Radar, SE Visible and Profound on pricing, platform coverage, and whether they just track AI visibility or help you fix it.

Key takeaways

  • Promptwatch is the pick if you want to fix visibility, not just watch it: content gap analysis, a Content Agent with CMS publishing, IP-verified crawler logs and AI traffic attribution.
  • Peec AI is the cleanest pure analytics tool, with unlimited seats and agency plans, but it does not write or publish content.
  • Otterly.AI is the cheapest serious self-serve monitor ($29/mo Lite), though extra engines are paid add-ons.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar and SE Visible suit teams already living in an SEO suite.
  • Scrunch fits teams focused on how AI crawlers read their own site. Profound is enterprise-only in practice.
  • Two tools in the brief (Goodie AI and AthenaHQ) have URL problems that you should verify before buying.

Why people look for AEO Vision alternatives

AEO Vision is a decent young product. It tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, AI Mode and AI Overviews, has Reddit citation insights, an Ads AI Share view, a task board, and a Lite plan at $9/mo. For agencies, that Reddit angle and the unlimited-client agency tiers are real selling points.

But there are reasons to shop around. The company is new (reportedly Toronto, founded 2025), and I couldn't find independent reviews or migration stories. Its own materials contradict each other: the pricing page lists 5 platforms and 70 daily prompts on Solo, while its Peec comparison page says Solo is limited to 30 prompts and 3 platforms. Trust the pricing page, and ask sales to confirm in writing. The Lite plan covers ChatGPT only and checks every 3 days. There is no free plan or trial that I could confirm, the visibility score weighting isn't published, and API and custom integrations are Enterprise-only. Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI aren't tracked. Also, the TikTok trend analysis is labelled Beta.

So the usual reasons to switch: broader engine coverage, deeper proof that AI traffic converts, crawler-level data, or a team that actually writes and ships the fixes. Here is how the alternatives stack up.

Promptwatch is the biggest step up if your problem is "we can see we're invisible, now what?" Most tools in this category answer "was my brand mentioned?" Promptwatch tries to answer "how do I grow AI-driven revenue?" It shows why you are or aren't visible, then helps do the fixing.

The pieces that matter in practice: IP-verified AI crawler logs (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others) that show which pages AI actually reads and where it hits errors; visitor analytics that tie AI referrals to conversions; content gap analysis against the prompts AI answers; and a Content Agent that plans, writes and publishes to WordPress, Webflow or Framer, then tracks whether each page gets crawled, cited and clicked. An Action Board turns the data into a prioritized to-do list, and Agent Chat lets you interrogate your own data.

On tracking, it monitors the real interfaces of ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Alexa and Meta AI, rather than just APIs, which matters because user-facing answers differ. It also covers Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn citations, ChatGPT Shopping, ad placements in AI answers, and coding agents like Codex and Claude Code. That is wider than AEO Vision, which tracks fewer platforms and has no crawler logs. Promptwatch is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, rated 4.7/5 on G2, and used by 1,840+ brands and agencies.

Pricing: Essential $95/mo (50 prompts, all engines, API, MCP, visitor analytics, content gaps), Professional $245/mo (150 prompts, adds crawler logs and 5 articles), Business $579/mo (350 prompts, the automated Content Agent, city targeting, Shopping and Ads Radar). Agency plans run $199 to $799/mo. A third-party listing shows $99 and $249 for the first two tiers, so confirm at promptwatch.com/pricing. There's a 7-day trial on monthly plans, and a free Explore tier (ChatGPT only, 10 prompts).

Trade-offs: Reddit insights are there, but AEO Vision's Reddit weekly reports and subreddit breakdowns are a more central feature of its pitch. The jump from AEO Vision's $99 Solo to Promptwatch's $245 tier for crawler logs is real money. Agency plans don't include the Content Agent.

Best for: teams who want one platform from diagnosis to published fix, and anyone who needs to prove AI traffic converts. You can see the broader data behind this on Promptwatch Data.

Peec AI

Peec AI is the focused analytics option. Visibility, position and sentiment are its three headline metrics, and the dashboards are clean. It now shows 3,500+ brands and agencies (older lists still cite 2,000+ and an EUR 85 entry price, both stale).

Brand plans: Starter $95/mo (50 prompts, 1 project), Pro $245/mo (150 prompts, 2 projects), Advanced $495/mo (350 prompts, 5 projects, Looker Studio). All plans include unlimited users, daily tracking, unlimited competitors, SKU-level AI shopping tracking, an ads library and local GEO. The catch: you pick three models on brand plans. Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and others are API-only on Enterprise.

Agency plans start at $245/mo with free pitch workspaces, which is a clever sales tool, and go to $795/mo for 11 to 25+ clients.

Compared with AEO Vision: Peec has more mature agency packaging and unlimited seats, but no task management and, by its own account, it doesn't write or publish content. AEO Vision at least generates content and has a Kanban task board. Price per prompt also favors AEO Vision at the low end.

Best for: agencies and in-house teams who have their own writers and want a polished measurement layer.

Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI is the budget self-serve choice. Lite is $29/mo (15 prompts), Standard $189/mo (100 prompts), Premium $489/mo, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. It offers daily tracking, brand reports, citation analysis, GEO audits and recommendations, plus an API, agent analytics and Looker Studio on higher tiers.

The honest downside is engine coverage. Four engines are included; Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons, so a realistic bill can climb. Content generation stops at briefs. Prompt allowances are small until you reach Standard, and the jump from Lite to Standard is steep.

Against AEO Vision, Otterly gives you a free trial (which AEO Vision lacks) and more established credibility, with a claimed 40,000+ users. AEO Vision's Reddit Insights and Ads AI Share have no direct equivalent in Otterly's lower plans, though Otterly does offer source-level Reddit data and paid-plan ad tracking.

Best for: small teams who want to start measuring cheaply and may never need more than monitoring.

Scrunch

Scrunch positions itself as an AI customer experience platform. The monitoring side (citations, rankings, shopping) is comparable to others, but the differentiator is the Agent Experience Platform: serving AI-optimized versions of your pages to AI agents, analyzing agent traffic, and diagnosing how AI consumes your site.

Pricing starts around $250/mo for Core (billed annually), with Growth at $417/mo and custom Enterprise. Core publishes four LLMs, Enterprise nine. Content gap analysis on Core covers 25 pages, and the full AXP is Enterprise territory. There's a 7-day trial.

If your problem is technical (AI crawlers can't read your site well), Scrunch is more relevant than AEO Vision. If your problem is prompts and Reddit, it isn't. It costs far more than AEO Vision's Solo plan.

Best for: mid-size and enterprise sites that want to control how agents see their content.

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Brand Radar sits inside the Ahrefs suite and covers Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, with the benefit of Ahrefs' backlink and search data next to the AI data.

Pricing is where you need to be careful. Ahrefs lists Brand Radar AI from $199/mo, with custom prompt packages at $50, $100 and $250/mo. Base plans run Lite $129 to Advanced $449, with a handful of basic tracked prompts included (5 to 20). One third-party review (EWR Digital) puts full all-platform coverage near $828/mo total. That conflicts with the headline figure, so price your exact setup before committing. Your brief also lists older figures ($83 to $99/mo), which look outdated.

It's weaker as a dedicated GEO tool: monthly prompt tracking, no managed outreach, crawler logs only in beta. But if you already pay for Ahrefs, you get a lot without a new vendor.

Best for: SEO teams already on Ahrefs who want AI mentions alongside links and rankings.

SE Visible

SE Visible

Track your brand's visibility and sentiment across AI search

Screenshot of SE Visible website

SE Visible comes from SE Ranking and tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode across multiple countries and languages. It shows visibility, share of voice, position and net sentiment, separates branded from non-branded prompts, ranks citation gaps by a Gap score, and gives you the raw AI answer behind each number. The "AIO organic overlap" check, which tells you whether AI Overviews draw on Google's top 20, is a nice touch.

Listed pricing: Basic from $79/mo annual ($99 monthly) with 200 prompts and 3 brands; Core $151/mo annual (450 prompts, 5 brands); Plus $284/mo annual (1,000 prompts, 10 brands). Unlimited seats and a 10-day trial. I couldn't verify these on the vendor's pricing page myself, so check before buying.

The prompt allowances are generous next to AEO Vision's 70 on Solo. What's missing: no Reddit-specific reports that I could confirm, and it's monitoring-led rather than execution-led.

Best for: agencies and SMBs wanting lots of prompts and brands per dollar, especially existing SE Ranking users.

Profound

Profound

Enterprise AI visibility solution

Screenshot of Profound website

Profound is the enterprise name in the category, with prompt volume data and a recent pivot to an AI marketing platform built around AI Marketer agents. Coverage reaches up to nine engines on Enterprise, with a trial covering ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews.

The problem for this page: the profound.so domain in the brief is for sale on GoDaddy, so that's not the product. The real site is tryprofound.com. Pricing is murky too: some lists show $99/mo, but IndustryLens notes no published self-serve price above the trial. Expect a sales call. It makes sense for large brands that want volume data and agents, and it's overkill if you're comparing against a $99 plan.

Best for: enterprise GEO programs with budget and a procurement process.

A note on Goodie AI and AthenaHQ

I left these out of the main list on purpose. The goodie.ai URL in the brief is a domain-for-sale page, and the real product appears to live at higoodie.com (Core $295/mo, Pro $999/mo, with content, outreach and attribution agents). AthenaHQ's site is athenahq.ai, not the athenago.com address in the brief, which is an executive-assistant service. Engine counts for AthenaHQ's $295 Starter vary by source (8 to 11). Verify both directly if they interest you.

Quick comparison

  • AEO Vision: from $9/mo, Reddit insights and agency tiers, limited platform coverage, no trial.
  • Promptwatch: from $95/mo, tracking plus crawler logs, traffic attribution and content publishing.
  • Peec AI: from $95/mo, clean analytics, unlimited seats, no content creation.
  • Otterly.AI: from $29/mo, cheapest entry, add-on engines cost extra.
  • Scrunch: from about $250/mo, agent-facing site optimization.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar: from $199/mo add-on, best with Ahrefs.
  • SE Visible: from about $79/mo, high prompt counts.
  • Profound: custom pricing, enterprise.

Which one should you pick?

If your core complaint with AEO Vision is that it tells you where you're missing but you still have to do the work, go with Promptwatch. If you only need measurement and a nice client-facing dashboard, Peec AI or SE Visible are strong. If budget is the constraint, Otterly Lite or AEO Vision's own Lite plan are your cheapest entry points. If you live in Ahrefs, try Brand Radar first. If technical crawlability is the blocker, look at Scrunch.

Staying with AEO Vision is reasonable too if Reddit citation tracking and affordable agency pricing are what you need. Just get the platform count and prompt limits confirmed in writing.
